Tucker, GA — The Tucker Brewing Company is getting national attention as one of the country’s best beer gardens and is in the running for one of the best beer gardens in the country.

“There are only a few days left to vote Atlanta-based Tucker Brewing Company into USA Today’s 10Best,” the brewery announced. “After surveying the country looking for the best of the best, USA Today selected Tucker Brewing as one of the top 20 best beer gardens in the United States, and we need your help to keep them in the top 10 and take the #1 position! It’s not too late to begin voting daily – that’s 5 extra votes for Tucker Brewing! Voting closes Tuesday, March 16 at Noon. Thanks so much to all who have voted and continue to vote!”

Tucker Brewing Company was established in 2017 and opened its doors in 2018.

Founded by brother and sister duo Ryan Chapman and Ashley Hubbard, the company promises, “German-style beer, southern roots.”

Tucker Brewing Company’s story began in 2016 when Chapman and Hubbard’s father purchased a new warehouse for his company, GPI Group, a firm that manufactures and sells building products. Located in a Tucker industrial park, the warehouse he purchased was roughly 42,000 square feet – much larger than what the business actually needed. The family saw an opportunity to put the extra space to use – but how?

Chapman, who had dabbled with home brew kits previously and lived in Germany as a student, suggested that the family start a brewery. After several years of research and planning, the idea became reality when Chapman attended the Craft Brewer’s Conference in spring 2017 and (somewhat impulsively, he admits) purchased industrial brewing equipment.

Chapman and Hubbard anticipated that around 500 people would come out for the brewery’s opening in 2018. Instead, they ended up with a crowd of 3,000. Tucker Brewing opened its kitchen in 2020.
