DeKalb County has contracted with AECOM to survey the lake, conduct an analysis of the hydrology and the dams, and recommend alternatives for remediation.
Two alternatives have been presented for consideration:
Alternative A – Repair the dams and spillways and fill the bypass channel.
Alternative B – Breach both dams, provide a drainage channel, and fill the bypass channel. Both alternatives include recommendations for recreation opportunities.
