Stone Mountain City Council will consider MOU with Main Street program

Stone Mountain, GA — The Stone Mountain City Council on July 6 will consider approving a memorandum of understanding with the Georgia Classic Main Streets Program.

“Housed in the Office of Downtown Development at the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA), Main Street is a signature program for community development and revitalization in Georgia’s historic downtowns,” according to georgiamainstreet.org.

The city will also consider approving a $4,200 contract for a fireworks display at the city’s Christmas parade on Dec. 4.
