Tucker, GA — DeKalb County Police are investigating after human remains were found near a Tucker park on Nov. 12.

“At approx. 12:30 p.m., we, along with the [Medical Examiner’s Office], responded to human remains located in a wooded area near the rear of the Rehoboth Baptist Church,” a spokesperson for the DeKalb County Police Department said. “The cause of death is pending further examination by the Medical Examiner’s Office. This is an active investigation, so no further details are available!”

The location is near Johns Homestead Park on Lawrenceville Highway.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, a surveying crew located the body. The body was found in a wooded area between the park and the church, the AJC reported.
