Clarkston, GA — The Clarkston Police Department reported that Blaise Barnett was found safe and in good condition on Thursday, Nov. 11.

But his whereabouts for the day he was missing are unknown, at least to the public, and police haven’t identified any suspects. He was abducted on Nov. 10 at 1 a.m. from 1000 Montreal Road. He was sitting in his car seat when someone made off with his family’s Ford Explorer.

The case has taken some bizarre twists and turns.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that police believe the kidnapping is somehow related to the shooting death of a 60-year-old man in a condominium complex. The suspects in that case are Barnett’s cousins. The victim was not connected to the kidnapping, according to the AJC.

Clarkston Police on Nov. 18 released new photos that they hope will lead to identification of a suspect.

“When the vehicle was recovered and processed at the GBI headquarters, the below items were located inside and do not belong to the victims,” Sgt. Dustin Bulcher said. “It is believed that these items were left behind by the suspect or suspects. If you have any information on the possible owner(s) of these items, please contact Sgt. G. Trumble at 404-557-8956.”
