City of Clarkston holding waterway cleanup event on Jan. 22

Update: Clarkston has cancelled the volunteer waterway cleanup event that was scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 22.

Clarkston, GA — The city of Clarkston is hosting its annual waterway cleanup event on Jan. 22.

The event begins at 9 a.m. It will be held at the Friendship Forest Wildlife Sanctuary. It’s a volunteer event and volunteers are needed.

“If interested in volunteering, please RSVP by 1/20/22,” an announcement from the city says. “For more information, contact Kash Hatami at 404-375-9236 or [email protected]. We would greatly appreciate your support in sharing this event to our local community.”
