Stone Mountain, GA — Linguistic Justice Collaborative is holding an open house event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on July 9 at the Sue Kellogg Stone Mountain Library.

Critical Community Conversations is offering free resources, books and interactive displays on the history of Stone Mountain, Black language and language varieties found throughout Georgia. The event is family-friendly.

The event will include an interactive timeline, trivia about Georgia’s languages, listening stations to hear the language diversity of Georgians and children’s literature featuring Black Language. It is supported in part by the Stone Mountain Library and Stone Mountain Action Coalition.
