Clarkston, GA — The city of Clarkston is rewriting its zoning ordinance and wants the public’s input.

The ordinance regulates how land can be used within the city. According to the public input website, the purpose of the rewrite is as follows:

– Address inconsistencies due to numerous amendments since the last full update

– Align zoning regulations with the community vision identified in the City’s comprehensive plan, which was updated last year through a partnership with the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC)

– Create a zoning ordinance that is user friendly through the incorporation of tables, graphics, and illustrations

– Address other common topics of concern identified through the community engagement process
