Man shot to death at shopping center near the city of Clarkston

Clarkston, GA —  DeKalb County Police are investigating a shooting death that occurred in unincorporated Clarkston on Aug. 28.

Police responded at 7:30 p.m. to a report of a shooting at a shopping center in the 400 block of North Indian Creek Drive.

“When they arrived, they located a deceased male, Kamaal Mogardo, sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot with multiple bullet defects,” a spokesperson for the DeKalb County Police Department said. “Witnesses at the scene advised several males approached the vehicle on foot and began shooting. We have no additional information at this time.”
