DeKalb Police release photo, videos of suspects in shooting death near Clarkston

DeKalb County, GA — DeKalb County Police are asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in an Aug. 28 shooting death that occurred at a shopping center near Clarkston.

Police responded at 7:30 p.m. to a report of a shooting at a shopping center in the 400 block of North Indian Creek Drive.

“When they arrived, they located a deceased male, Kamaal Mogardo, sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot with multiple bullet defects,” a spokesperson for the DeKalb County Police Department said. “Witnesses at the scene advised several males approached the vehicle on foot and began shooting. We have no additional information at this time.”

Police released photos and video footage of the suspects on Sept. 8.

“On 8/28/2022 DKPD responded to a shooting at the Halal Pizza and Cafe at 420 N. Indian Creek Drive,” the Police Department said in a social media post. “The victim was picking up food from the location at approximately 7:30 p.m. and getting into his car when three suspects exited their car and fired numerous rounds into the victim. They then fled in the below pictured car. If anyone recognizes these three individuals or the driver of this Red Lexus GS350 please contact DeKalb Police Homicide/Assault Unit at 770-724-7850 or Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta at 404-577-8477.”
